Market Hall

Persis ran. Now and again she tripped and stumbled, she was slowing down and she could hear the footsteps getting nearer. It was almost too dark for her to make out the book store. And when she did she almost missed it. The combination of the darkness and her breakneck pace meant she ran straight passed realised and had to spin round and run the other direction.
'Oh well' she thought 'at least if they did get her she'd see them coming'
